Core Values and Beliefs
Worship
As we worship, we seek to passionately love and glorify Jesus and celebrate the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer
Because God’s house is a house of prayer for all nations, we are committed to pray and fast that His Kingdom will come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Mark 11:17).
The Bible
We believe the Holy Bible is the infallible and inspired word of God. We are committed to preaching God’s Word and obeying God’s Word (Matt. 7:24-25; Joshua 1:7-8).
Kingdom of God
We are here to advance the Kingdom of God by sharing the Good News of the Kingdom (Matt. 24:14) and discipling nations (Matt. 28:18-20) with the power of the Kingdom (Matt. 4:22) while living the ethics of God’s Kingdom (Matt. 5-7). We believe that God’s means of advancing His Kingdom is the local church. Our goal is to support and align with growing, thriving and strong local churches that would reach the lost and impact society (Matt. 16:18-19).
Reformation
God wants us to reform society by bringing the Kingdom of heaven to earth (Matt. 6:9-10). We do this by calling people to discover their divine assignments in the Seven Mountains of Culture—family, religion, government, education, business, media and arts & entertainment—and to transform society through their respective spheres of influence (Matt. 5:13-14, 28:18-20; Gen.1:28-29).
Financial Prosperity
Because it takes wealth to reform society, God wants us to prosper (Deut. 8:18; 3 John 2) and use the wealth to advance His Kingdom and transform society.
Apostles
Because the Church is founded on apostles and prophets (Eph. 2:20, 4:11), we believe and embrace the office and ministry of the apostle. KRGO is part of an apostolic network called Harvest International Ministry.
Prophets
We welcome and honor prophets and the prophetic ministry (Matt. 10:41). We are called to be a prophetic people and are committed to do only what we see our Father saying and doing (John 5:19).
Family
We believe strongly in the biblical family model and are committed to its strength as a foundation for the church and society.
Love
Jesus gave us a commandment to love one another (Matt. 22:39). Therefore, we are committed to walk in love and unity in our homes, our church, among the churches in our city, among the different ethnic groups and especially among those who don’t know Jesus in a personal way.
Faith
The Bible says, “The just shall live by faith” (Rom. 1:17). “Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Heb. 11:6). We are called to be people who “live by faith and not by sight” (2 Cor. 5:7).
Hope
We want to offer hope and encouragement to the discouraged and depressed in our society and in our church (1 Cor. 13:13).
Grace
Jesus is full of grace and truth (John 1:17). We, too, are to be people who are full of grace. We know that by God’s grace we are saved (Eph. 2:8) and sanctified (Titus 2:11-12), and by His grace we experience success and favor in life (James 4:6; 1 Cor. 15:10).
Evangelism and Healing
We seek to demonstrate and declare the Good News of Jesus, heal the sick, help bring deliverance to the oppressed and incorporate people into our church through evangelism, inner healing, deliverance and healing (Mark 16:15-18).
Discipleship
We seek to call people to Jesus, grow in Him, radically live out His Word and release people and leaders into ministry. Every believer is a minister (Eph. 4:11; 1 Pet. 2:9).
Youth
Because the harvest is greater among the youth and because we sense a responsibility to reach the next generation, we place a high priority to reach and minister to the emerging generation in the church and city.
Generosity
Because a sovereign God uses finances to expand His Kingdom, we believe that God wants us to give joyfully and sacrificially with our tithes and offerings, as a means to fulfill the Great Commission.
Missions and Social Justice
Through missions we seek to cross-culturally minister to the poor and train and empower indigenous leaders. This will be done through the local church and through Harvest International Ministry, the apostolic network with whom Holly Watson Ministries is aligned.
Revival
Recognizing that none of the above can be accomplished in our own strength, we seek to be perpetually revived and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Beliefs System
God
We believe that the God of the Bible is the only one and true God revealed eternally in three persons as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three persons are the same being with the same nature and character and exist in perfect unity eternally.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus is God and the second person in the Godhead. He is eternal in nature and was manifested in flesh and walked on the earth as both God and Man. He was born by a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay the price of our sins and rose again in order to redeem all those who are willing to receive Him as Lord.
Holy Spirit
We believe that every believer can be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit, who was sent to us to comfort, teach and guide us in our journey with God, while at the same time convicting the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. The Holy Spirit empowers each believer with spiritual gifts.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God and states nothing contrary to fact in the original documents. We believe that all Scripture found in the Bible is reliable for reproving, correcting and instructing in the way of life and is unchangeable in nature.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God and cannot be earned but must be received by the grace of God. We believe that God will not refuse those who humbly come to Him in repentance and accept His Son, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior.
Judgement
We believe Jesus will return bodily to the earth. Then, at the end of the age, Jesus will judge every person according to the decisions he or she has made during life on earth—some to everlasting life and some to eternal separation from God.
The Church
We believe in the universal Church of believers that consists of local churches throughout the world. We believe that every believer should be serving in a local church and loving one another and the community in tangible ways.
Baptism & Communion
We believe in and practice both water baptism and communion as taught by the Bible. Baptism is a public act used to identify our lives with Christ: first with His death and then with His resurrection into new life. Communion is a time of remembering Christ’s sacrifice and redemption offered so beautifully for us.
Equality
We believe that every person that receives Jesus Christ as Lord is a child of God and is equal in being, regardless of race, gender, culture or class.
